Dar-ul-Uloom Baba Nazuk Celebrates Annual Day,Moulana Syed Ahmad Khazir Shah Masoodi Attend Event in Kupwara
Lolab: Dar-ul-Uloom Baba Nazuk, a respected Islamic institution, celebrated its annual day, Salana Jalsa, with thousands of attendees. Moulana Syed Ahmad Khazir Shah Masoodi Kashmiri, grandson of the renowned Alama Anwar Shah Kashmiri, delivered a profound speech, stressing the significance of Quranic knowledge and cautioning the youth against the dangers of drug addiction. “Drug abuse is condemned in Islam; it is not the path our religion guides us towards,” he firmly stated.
Other notable speakers at the event included Moulana Syed Mohammad Iqbal Andrabi, Moulana Mufti Ghulam Mohiuddin, and Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasimi. During the ceremony, six students were honoured for memorising the Quran and received the traditional Dastarbandi from Moulana Syed Ahmad Khazir Shah Masoodi Kashmiri. The students, Irshad Ahmad Dar (18), Danish Ahmad Sheikh (17), Maiser Ahmad Ganie (18), Imtiyaz Ahmad Ganie (18), Munbashir Ahmad Kumar (16), and Showkat Ahmad Peer (18), were celebrated for their achievements.
The community of Dever applauded the efforts of these young scholars. Mufti Mohammad Shafi, the Motamam of Dar-ul-Uloom Baba Nazuk, extended his gratitude to the participants, volunteers, and the parents of the students for their support.
This annual event reaffirmed Dar-ul-Uloom Baba Nazuk’s dedication to fostering Islamic knowledge, upholding moral values, and contributing to the welfare of the community.
