Two Police Personnel Found Dead Inside Car in Batote

Two police personnel were found unconscious inside a car under unexplained circumstances at Ziarat Morh in the Sana area of Batote tehsil in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district on Tuesday evening, police sources said. Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The two personnel were found inside the vehicle and were shifted to District Hospital Ramban by local residents. However, doctors declared both of them dead on arrival.
The deceased were identified as Head Constable Farid Ahmed (No. 408/Rbn), a resident of Bhatti, Ramban, and Selection Grade Constable (SgCt) Muhammad Yaqoob (No. 309/Rbn), a resident of Jatgali, Ramban.
Both personnel were posted at District Police Lines (DPL), Ramban.
According to police sources, the incident was reported at around 8:30 pm, when the two personnel were found inside a Fiat Vias car bearing registration number JK-19/5299 at Ziarat Morh.
Following the incident, the bodies were kept at District Hospital Ramban for medico-legal formalities.
SSP Ramban Arun Gupta and the Medical Superintendent were also present at the hospital following the incident.
The exact circumstances surrounding the deaths and the cause have not been established so far. Police have initiated further proceedings to determine what happened and ascertain the circumstances leading to the deaths.
