J&K Government Promotes Three Deputy SPs to Superintendent of Police
The Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved the promotion of three Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) of the General Cadre to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP).
The promotions were approved by the Home Department and will take effect immediately.
According to the government order, the officers promoted are:
- Suresh Kumar Sharma — PID No. KPS125769
- Nissar Ahmad Darzi — PID No. KPS125833
- Varun Jandial — PID No. KPS125765
The order states that sanction has been accorded for the promotion of the three DySPs to the post of Superintendent of Police in Pay Level-11, with a pay scale of ₹67,700–₹2,08,700.
The promotions will come into force with immediate effect, according to the Home Department order.
However, the government clarified that the promotions will remain subject to the outcome of any writ petition(s), if pending before a competent court of law.
The latest order marks a significant career advancement for the three police officers within the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
