All India Institute of Medical Sciences Awantipora has issued a fresh recruitment notification inviting applications for faculty positions across various medical departments.

The advertised vacancies include:
- 85 Assistant Professor posts
- 5 Associate Professor posts
- 2 Additional Professor posts
- 2 Professor posts
Officials said the online application process will begin from May 20, 2026, and continue till June 18, 2026 through the official recruitment portal.
AIIMS Awantipora has been established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) and functions under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
The institute is part of the national AIIMS network aimed at improving specialised healthcare services, medical education, and advanced training facilities across the country.
According to the notification, the pay scale for the faculty posts ranges from Level 12 to Level 14-A under the 7th Central Pay Commission, depending on qualifications, experience, and designation.
Officials said the recruitment process is expected to strengthen healthcare services, medical training, and academic infrastructure at AIIMS Awantipora, which is emerging as a major healthcare institution in Jammu and Kashmir.
