Unidentified Body Recovered From River in Rajouri’s Nowshera, Police Begin Investigation

An unidentified body was recovered from a river in the Nowshera area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Thursday, officials said.

Following the information, a police team, along with personnel from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), reached the spot and recovered the body from the river.

The deceased has not yet been identified. Officials said the body was in a decomposed condition, making identification difficult.

The body has been taken into police custody for further proceedings.

Meanwhile, police have started an investigation to establish the identity of the deceased and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
