Highlight the central dispute over AI-generated images, marital allegations, financial claims and alleged threats, with a bold headline: “AI Images, Marriage Dispute and Court Battle”.
A legal dispute between former Sindh provincial assembly member Ghulam Rasool Khan Inar and his former wife Raziya Lashari has reached a Karachi court, with both sides making serious and conflicting allegations over their marriage, financial commitments, marital relationship and subsequent divorce.
Inar has alleged that Lashari deceived him by sending photographs that he claims were created or significantly altered using artificial intelligence (AI). Lashari has rejected his allegations and instead accused him of failing to fulfil marital responsibilities, while also claiming that he did not honour financial and property commitments allegedly made before their marriage.
The dispute has now expanded into multiple legal proceedings involving allegations of threats, financial claims and complaints to law-enforcement agencies.
Former Lawmaker Seeks Police Action
Inar approached a Karachi court under Sections 22-A and 22-B of the Code of Criminal Procedure, asking the court to direct police to register a case against Lashari.
His application names Lashari as the proposed accused and alleges that she threatened him following their separation and divorce.
Inar’s lawyer, Aamir Waraich, sought additional time from the court. The hearing has been adjourned until 29 August.
Lashari has opposed the application and asked the court to dismiss it. In her objections, she described the proceedings as an attempt to put her under pressure and force her to abandon her financial claims.
Marriage Began After Social Media Contact
According to Inar’s court application, he and Lashari became acquainted through social media platforms including Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram.
He claims that Lashari expressed her desire to marry him and that he agreed to the proposal.
The application states that their nikah took place on 23 February 2026. Inar’s version is that the marriage was conducted through a video call and that the mahr was fixed at Rs100,000, which he says was paid.
Lashari has disputed aspects of this account.
In objections filed before the court, she says the nikah took place on the same date in the presence of lawyers and an imam.
She further claims that before the marriage, on 9 February, Inar signed an affidavit agreeing to several conditions in the presence of witnesses, family members and other people.
Dispute Over Financial Commitments
According to Lashari’s version, the alleged pre-marriage commitments included purchasing a flat in her name, paying her Rs500,000 a month and transferring 50 acres of land into her name.
She has submitted a copy of the alleged document to the court.
Lashari says that following the marriage, she received Rs100,000 a month as household expenses or maintenance. According to her objections, these payments continued until May 2026 before stopping.
She argues that her financial claims are based on commitments allegedly made by Inar before the marriage.
The two sides therefore present significantly different accounts of the financial arrangements surrounding their relationship.
Allegation Over AI-Generated Photographs
One of the most unusual aspects of the dispute concerns photographs allegedly shared before the marriage.
Inar alleges that Lashari sent him photographs through social media that were created or manipulated using artificial intelligence.
According to his application, filters and other forms of editing were used to alter the images. He claims that after meeting Lashari in person, he noticed a difference between her appearance and the photographs he had previously seen.
The allegation forms a central part of Inar’s claim that he was misled before the marriage.
However, Lashari has rejected his version of events and has put forward her own allegations concerning what happened after the couple began living together.
Ex-Wife Accuses Him of Failing Marital Responsibilities
In her objections, Lashari claims that she discovered after the marriage that Inar faced difficulties in fulfilling his marital responsibilities.
Her response also contains allegations relating to his age and private matters concerning his sexual health. She claims that he attempted to obtain medical assistance.
These allegations have not been established by the court and form part of Lashari’s response to the case brought by Inar.
The dispute has consequently developed into a broader disagreement over both parties’ conduct during and after the marriage.
Meeting After the Nikah
Lashari’s objections also refer to a meeting that allegedly took place on 24 February, one day after the nikah, at the home of Inar’s friend and National Assembly member Ali Gohar Mahar.
According to her account, she was invited to the residence and received Rs100,000 in cash as a gift after arriving.
Her court submission reportedly includes photographs that she says relate to the occasion.
She claims that the couple subsequently began living together.
FIA and NCCIA Complaints
The dispute later moved beyond the family and civil dimensions of the relationship.
According to Lashari’s objections, Inar submitted a complaint against her to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Karachi on 29 July 2026.
She says she was subsequently summoned by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on 30 July and again on 13 August.
Lashari, meanwhile, filed a separate case against Inar before Family Court No. 4 in Hyderabad on 30 July, seeking recovery of money.
A notice was issued in that case, according to the documents cited in her objections.
Social Media Dispute Escalates
The conflict has also played out on social media.
Inar alleges that Lashari published a false report of his death online. He further claims that his photographs were altered and that an image depicting his funeral was circulated.
According to his application, the post caused alarm among his relatives in Pakistan and abroad.
He says some relatives contacted him to confirm that he was alive after seeing the alleged post.
Lashari has accused Inar of using media coverage to damage her reputation and put her under pressure.
Both sides therefore claim that social media has been used as part of the wider dispute.
Divorce and Alleged Threats
Inar’s application states that he divorced Lashari on 2 August 2026.
He alleges that following the divorce, she demanded money and issued threats, including alleged threats to release private videos on social media.
Inar claims that he received two threatening WhatsApp voice messages at approximately 6:31pm and 6:32pm on 4 August.
According to his account, the messages allegedly contained threats of targeted killing as well as threats to publish private videos online.
He further claims that the voice messages were subsequently deleted.
Inar says he approached police officials regarding the alleged threats but claims that no action was taken. He subsequently decided to seek directions from the court.
Request for FIR and Protection
Through his court application, Inar has asked for several forms of relief.
He wants the police to be directed to take legal action, record his statement under Section 154 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and register an FIR.
He has also sought protection, citing the alleged threats against him.
Lashari has strongly opposed the application.
In objections filed on 17 August 2026, she described Inar’s proceedings as a “counter-blast” and claimed that the legal action was intended to pressure her.
She has asked the court to reject his application.
Dispute Over Age
Inar’s age has also become part of the legal dispute.
According to Lashari’s objections, Inar’s identity card records his year of birth as 1948, making him 78 years old in 2026.
She has referred to his age while making her allegations concerning the marital relationship.
The issue has become relevant because the parties have presented sharply different accounts of their relationship and the reasons for its breakdown.
What Happens Next?
The dispute currently involves several interconnected issues, including allegations concerning AI-generated or edited photographs, financial commitments, maintenance payments, marital responsibilities, divorce, alleged threats and social media activity.
However, the allegations made by both parties remain claims presented in legal proceedings and have not been established as facts by the court.
The immediate proceedings in Karachi concern Inar’s request for police action over the allegations against Lashari. His lawyer has sought more time, and the matter is scheduled to be heard again on 29 August.
Meanwhile, Lashari’s financial claims and the separate proceedings before the Hyderabad family court could add another dimension to the dispute.
The case is therefore being closely watched as the former couple present opposing accounts of how their marriage began, what financial commitments were made, why the relationship broke down and what happened after their divorce.
