Apple-Laden Truck Meets Accident at Ramban Flyover After Tyre Burst, Driver Safe

An apple-laden truck travelling from Srinagar towards Rajasthan met with an accident at Cafeteria Morh Flyover in Ramban on Thursday morning.

According to officials, the truck, bearing registration number JK04F-5051, was travelling along the highway when its wheel area reportedly overheated after continuous travel. The overheating is believed to have caused a tyre burst.

Following the tyre burst, the truck hit the wall of the flyover before rolling down the roadside.

The accident also caused damage to the truck’s diesel tank, resulting in a fuel leak. Fortunately, the driver and co-driver were safe and no injuries were reported.

Soon after the incident, a team from Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) Ramban, along with local police personnel, reached the spot.

Rescue and recovery teams are currently working to retrieve the truck from the roadside and manage the situation safely.

The rescue operation remains underway, while further details are awaited.
