Security Forces Launch Searches Across Udhampur, Reasi and Kathua After Suspected Movement

Police, along with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), launched a cordon-and-search operation after receiving information about the movement of two suspected individuals.

Suspects Allegedly Seek Food at Village House

According to officials, the two suspected individuals allegedly knocked on the door of a resident, Prakash Chand, in Talot village of Udhampur late on Monday night.

The individuals reportedly asked for food and repeatedly knocked on the door for several minutes. However, the residents did not respond.

The suspected persons were reportedly wearing shawls. They later left the area and headed towards the Khuban side, following which the residents alerted security forces.

Joint Police-CRPF Teams Begin Search

Acting on the information, joint teams of police and the CRPF reached the village and launched a search operation in the surrounding areas.

Security forces are checking possible routes and nearby locations to establish the identity and whereabouts of the suspected individuals.

Searches Also Conducted in Reasi and Kathua

Meanwhile, separate search operations were carried out in the Sadini forests of Reasi district.

Security forces also conducted searches in several villages near the International Border in the Hiranagar sector of Kathua district.

Officials said the operations remain underway in areas where recent reports of suspected movement have been received.
