House Completely Destroyed in Fire Incident in Boniyar’s Bijhama Area of Baramulla
A residential house was completely destroyed after a fire broke out in the Jamadar Bijhama area of Boniyar in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday.
The house belonged to Bashir Ahmad Badan and Nazir Ahmad Badar, sons of Matwali Badar, residents of Bijhama.
Fire Suspected to Have Started Due to Short Circuit
According to local residents, the fire is suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit.
Soon after the blaze was noticed, local residents and a police team from Police Station Bijhama reached the spot and began efforts to control the fire.
After a joint effort, the flames were eventually brought under control.
Poor Road Conditions Delay Fire Tender
Residents said the poor condition of the approach road created difficulties for emergency services. As a result, the fire tender could not reach the location in time.
The fire caused extensive damage to the residential structure, which was completely destroyed in the incident.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident, while further details regarding the cause of the fire and the extent of the losses are awaited.
