Five Killed as Mahindra Scorpio Plunges into Chenab River in Kishtwar
At least five people were killed after a Mahindra Scorpio skidded off the road and plunged into the Chenab River in the Dachhan area of Kishtwar district on Saturday, officials said.

According to officials, the vehicle lost control, skidded off the road and rolled into the Chenab River.
Five Bodies Recovered
A police team, along with local residents, reached the accident site soon after the incident and launched rescue and recovery operations.
Officials said five bodies had been recovered from the site so far.
However, the exact number of people travelling in the vehicle at the time of the accident remains unclear. Police are working to establish the identities of the deceased and gather further details about the incident.
Rescue Operation Underway
Police have taken cognisance of the accident, while rescue and recovery operations are continuing at the site.
