Lightning Strike Kills Two, Injures Two in Kokernag’s Gawran Nard

wo people were killed and two others injured after lightning struck Gawran Nard in the Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday.

An official said the deceased were identified as Faizan Ahmad, 18, son of Mohd Yaqoob Chard of Gawran, and Bilal Ahmad Battana, 16, son of Nazir Ahmad of Redwani Gawran.

Two other people were also injured in the lightning strike. They were identified as Sajad Ahmad Battana, 15, son of Sai Battana, and Shareef Ahmad Battana, son of Jumma, both residents of Redwani Gawran.

Following the incident, the injured were shifted to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Larnoo for medical treatment.
