A senior district police official told Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) had been underway in the general area of Pakherpora for the past few days following serious intelligence inputs.
According to the official, the security operation may have caused temporary inconvenience to some devotees travelling from outside the area, as security measures affected access to the locality.
However, the official stressed that no restrictions were imposed on religious activities at the mosque.
The Friday congregational prayers and the Azaan were held as scheduled on 24 July, the official said.
Public Urged to Avoid Unverified Information
