Thousands Join Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi Rally in Srinagar, AJKSA Calls for Unity and Brotherhood

SRINAGAR: Thousands of devotees, religious scholars, Zakireen, students and members of the Shia community participated in a grand Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi procession organised by the All J&K Shia Association (AJKSA) in Srinagar on Sunday. Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The procession was organised to commemorate the blessed birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and carried a message of peace, brotherhood, unity and harmony. Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The rally began from Imamia Park, Doonipora, and passed through Hawal before culminating at Imam Bargah Zadibal, where religious programmes and Milad proceedings were held.
Madrassa students participate in procession
A large number of madrassas affiliated with the All J&K Shia Association from different parts of Kashmir took part in the procession.
Teachers, students and madrassa inspectors joined the rally, while participants presented Naat recitations in praise of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Religious scholars and Zakireen associated with the AJKSA also participated in the procession, adding to the spiritual atmosphere of the gathering.
The occasion provided an opportunity for members of the community to express their love and devotion towards the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).
Emphasis on Prophet’s teachings and Muslim unity
At MK Chowk, Hawal, Molvi Syed Taib Rizvi, spokesperson for the All J&K Shia Association, addressed the gathering.
He spoke about the significance of Haft-e-Wahdat, the blessed life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the importance of unity among Muslims.
Rizvi said the Seerah of the Prophet carries a universal message of peace, compassion, justice, knowledge and brotherhood.
He called upon Muslims to strengthen their bonds of unity and fraternity by following the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).
Procession concludes at Imam Bargah Zadibal
The procession eventually reached Imam Bargah Zadibal, where religious programmes and Milad proceedings were organised.
The gathering remained focused on religious teachings, prayers and messages of peace and communal harmony.
The AJKSA said the large participation reflected the community’s deep love for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), while also conveying a broader message of Muslim unity and brotherhood.
AJKSA thanks administration and departments
All J&K Shia Association president Molvi Imran Reza Ansari expressed gratitude to the Srinagar administration, police and various government departments for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth conduct of the procession.
He particularly thanked Srinagar Deputy Commissioner Akshay Labroo, ADC Dr Fareed, CPO Fayaz Ahmad, SSP Srinagar Dr GV Sundeep Chakravarthy, SDPO Zadibal Rashid Akbar, SHO Zadibal Suhail, SP Traffic Zaheer, and officials from the Srinagar Municipal Corporation, health, power and Jal Shakti departments.
Ansari also acknowledged the support of Commissioner SMC Fazlul Haseeb, JC Syed Abul Hassan, CMO Srinagar Dr Tahir, ZMO Zadibal Dr Rubeena and Executive Engineer Division-IV Syed Nisar, along with their respective teams.
He said the coordinated efforts of the administration and field departments helped ensure the peaceful and organised movement of the large gathering.
Arrangements related to traffic management, sanitation, healthcare, civic facilities, electricity and other essential services were put in place to facilitate the procession and the devotees attending it.
Special thanks to local residents and volunteers
Ansari also expressed special appreciation for the residents of Doonipora and Gazidoori, Zadibal, who made arrangements at Imamia Park and other locations for the devotees.
He praised their hospitality and dedication and prayed for their well-being.
The AJKSA president also thanked the volunteers at Imam Bargah Zadibal, who worked before and during the programme to ensure the successful conduct of the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi celebrations.

Ansari further expressed gratitude to local social media pages and platforms for covering the procession and highlighting the Milad celebrations.

Message of peace and harmony
The AJKSA said the grand procession was not only a religious gathering but also conveyed a message of peace, brotherhood, unity and communal harmony.
The association said the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) provide guidance on compassion, justice, tolerance and service to humanity.
The programme concluded with prayers for peace, prosperity and unity in Jammu and Kashmir and for the well-being of the entire Muslim Ummah.
Molvi Imran Reza Ansari prayed that the blessed occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi would bring peace, prosperity, unity and blessings to Jammu and Kashmir and people across the Muslim world.
