Army Soldier Dies After Falling From Forward Post Along LoC in Rajouri

Rajouri, Jammu & Kashmir: An Army soldier died after accidentally falling from a forward post along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Nowshera sector of Rajouri district on Friday, officials said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The deceased has been identified as Lance Naik Rituk Choudhary, 26, who fell from the post towards a downhill ridge, sources said.

Choudhary was immediately evacuated to the MI Room at Rumlidhara, where medical personnel declared him dead on arrival.

The soldier’s body will be handed over to his legal heirs after completion of the necessary legal formalities, officials said.

Choudhary was a resident of Uklada village in Gujarat’s Tapi district.
