A Traffic Police Head Constable was killed after being hit by a truck in the Qazigund area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday morning, officials said.
According to officials, the incident took place near Shampora Bridge in Qazigund, where the traffic police officer was hit by a truck bearing registration number JK03Q-9011. Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Officials said the speeding truck lost control and struck the officer, leaving him seriously injured. He later succumbed to his injuries at the spot.
The deceased traffic police officer was identified as Mushtaq Ahmad, son of Abdul Sabir Bhat, a resident of Kulpora.
Following the incident, police took cognisance of the matter and initiated proceedings. Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
