Centre Extends Shah Faesal’s Deputation Tenure in Ministry of Culture Till September 2028

The Central Government has extended the central deputation tenure of IAS officer Shah Faesal for another two years, according to an official order.

An Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, stated that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved a proposal from the Ministry of Culture to extend Faesal’s tenure. Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Faesal, an IAS officer of the 2010 AGMUT cadre, is currently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Culture.

Deputation Extended Up to September 2028

According to the order, Shah Faesal’s central deputation has been extended for two years beyond September 18, 2026, up to September 18, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The extension was approved following a reference from the Ministry of Culture through its Office Memorandum dated July 14, 2026.

Shah Faesal has been on central deputation since September 19, 2022.

He belongs to the AGMUT cadre, which covers the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram-Union Territories joint cadre.

The latest decision means Faesal will continue his responsibilities in the Ministry of Culture for the extended period, subject to the terms specified in the government order.
