Man Drowns While Saving Five-Year-Old Son in Nallah Sandran, Anantnag

According to officials, the father and son had gone to the area to attend a marriage ceremony when the child accidentally fell into the water channel.
The child, identified as Imad Zahoor, was rescued and shifted to Emergency Hospital Qazigund for treatment.
Officials said the five-year-old is in stable condition and remains under medical observation.
Father Drowns While Trying to Save Son
The child’s father, identified as Zahoor Ahmad Ganie, a resident of Nigenpora, entered the water to rescue his son.
However, he drowned during the rescue attempt.
The incident has left the family and local community in shock, as the father lost his life while trying to save his young child.
Police Begin Proceedings
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated proceedings.
