2 terrorists were killed in a joint intelligence-based counter-terrorism operation in the Brattal area of Udhampur district, Jammu and Kashmir, the Army said on Thursday.

Operation Launched After Intelligence Inputs
Following the intelligence inputs, security forces launched a targeted operation in the area.
Personnel from the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) took part in the operation.
According to the Army, the operation was conducted despite difficult terrain, poor visibility and adverse weather conditions. The security forces engaged the terrorists during the operation, resulting in the killing of two of them.
Search Operation Continues
The security operation remains underway as forces continue search and surveillance activities in the area.
Security personnel are searching the surrounding terrain to determine whether any other terrorists are present and to ensure that there is no remaining threat.
The identities and affiliations of the two deceased terrorists have not yet been officially confirmed. Other reports have said that weapons and ammunition were recovered during the operation, while security forces continue their investigation.
