The partnership was officially renewed during a signing ceremony held at the Khyber Cement Corporate Office in Hyderpora, Srinagar. The agreement was signed by Chief Sales and Customer Relations Head Wasim Ahmed Khan on behalf of Khyber Cement and Mushtaq Bashir on behalf of the Kashmir Super League, in the presence of senior company officials.
Khyber Cement said its continued support goes beyond football and reflects its long-term commitment to creating opportunities for young people in the region.
Speaking on the occasion, Umar Tramboo, Director Corporate and Strategy at Khyber Cement, said the company wanted to provide local footballers with a professional platform where they could showcase their talent and build successful careers.
He said Khyber Cement believes in building strong foundations, not only in business but also in the community, adding that the company plans to support the league for many years to come.
The Kashmir Super League 2026 is scheduled to begin in August. The franchise-based tournament will feature six teams competing in 19 matches, providing around 120 footballers from across Jammu and Kashmir with a professional platform to display their skills.
Wasim Ahmed Khan said renewing the sponsorship was an easy decision after the success of the inaugural season. He said the previous edition proved that when players are given a professional environment, the quality of football improves, fan support grows and local talent receives the recognition it deserves.
He added that the company’s goal is to help make the league stronger every year and continue raising professional standards in football across the region.
Khyber Cement said its support for the Kashmir Super League is part of its broader commitment to investing in sports and education across Jammu and Kashmir. The company has consistently backed initiatives that help young people compete, develop their abilities and gain greater opportunities for the future.
