The maiden offline protest by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar concluded peacefully on Saturday evening, with Delhi Police detaining six individuals as a precautionary measure. The youth-led demonstration, organised by founder Abhijeet Dipke, demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in NEET-UG and other exams. Hundreds of young protesters, joined by activist Sonam Wangchuk, gathered under the scorching sun to press for transparency and reforms in the education and recruitment system. The event remained largely incident-free, with participants waving Tirangas and recording proceedings.
Police maintained heavy deployment to ensure order. CJP hinted at nationwide follow-up protests if demands are not met.
