A 40-year-old man was injured after being attacked by a wild bear in an apple orchard in Sedow area of Shopian district on Friday.
An official said the incident took place while the man was in an apple orchard in Sedow, where the wild animal attacked him.
The injured man was identified as Sadiq Ahmad Thokar, 40, son of Abdul Rahman, a resident of Sedow.
He was shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Shopian for medical treatment.
Authorities have taken cognisance of the incident, while further details are awaited.
