Sheikh Abdullah Remembered on 44th Death Anniversary in Srinagar

Several NC leaders, MLAs, senior party functionaries, workers and supporters gathered at Naseem Bagh to remember the late leader and pay their respects.

Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, popularly known as Sher-e-Kashmir, was the founder of the National Conference and played a major role in the political history of Jammu and Kashmir. He served as the first elected Prime Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.

Sheikh Abdullah died on September 8, 1982. His political legacy continues to remain an important part of Jammu and Kashmir’s history.
