KPDCL Announces Power Shutdown in Kashmir Areas

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of the Kashmir division over the coming days.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdowns have been planned on two 33 KV lines and will affect power supply in several areas. Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Power shutdown on September 7
The 33 KV Airforce line will remain shut on September 7, 2026, from 10 am to 2 pm.
During this period, power supply to Humhama, Jeelani Abad, Co-operative Colony, Nadroo, Sheikhpora, PHQ, Airport, Hyderpora and adjoining areas will remain affected.
Shutdown on September 8, 12 and 15
KPDCL has also announced a shutdown of the 33 KV Awantipora-Sangam 2nd line on September 8, 12 and 15, 2026.
The shutdown will be observed from 9 am to 3 pm, affecting power supply to Siamoh, K-Koot, Kiagam, Hariparigam, Chakoora, Gulzarpora, Panzgam, Railway and adjoining areas.
Residents in the affected areas have been advised to take note of the scheduled shutdown timings and make necessary arrangements accordingly.
