Joint Search Operation Launched in Udhampur After Suspicious Movement Report

Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir launched a joint cordon-and-search operation in the Ramnagar forest area of Udhampur district on Sunday following reports of suspicious movement by two unidentified persons, officials said.

A joint team comprising the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Special Operations Group (SOG), Army and other security agencies cordoned off the Jophar area and began an intensive search operation.

Officials said the operation was launched to locate the suspected individuals and assess whether they posed any security threat.

Security personnel are conducting searches at multiple locations across the forest area, while vehicle checking is also being carried out as part of the operation.

Senior officers are present at the site and are supervising the search operation.

The security agencies are maintaining heightened vigilance in the area as the operation continues.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the identity or whereabouts of the two individuals reported to have been moving suspiciously.
