Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Pakistan Sign Makkah Joint Defence Agreement After Leaders Meet in Makkah

The leaders gathered at Qasr Al-Safa (Al-Safa Palace), near the Grand Mosque (Masjid al-Haram), following the signing ceremony, highlighting the significance of the meeting.

Makkah Joint Defence Agreement

According to official statements, the agreement aims to strengthen defence cooperation between the three countries and includes a mutual security commitment under which an armed attack on one signatory would be regarded as an attack on all.

The pact also provides for closer cooperation in areas such as:

• Joint defence manufacturing.
• Military training and exercises.
• Intelligence sharing.
• Defence technology cooperation.
• Strategic coordination on regional security.

Saudi Arabia said the agreement is defensive in nature and is intended to enhance regional security and stability rather than create a new military bloc.
