Authorities have formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to handle the probe. According to a senior police official, efforts are currently underway to track down and arrest the remaining individuals involved. The police have promised to ensure strict legal action against all perpetrators.
The young victim had been reported missing from the Galwanpora area on May 23. Her body was discovered in a nearby field the following day, sparking widespread local outrage and protests.
