She joined the party at the National Conference headquarters in Srinagar in the presence of party president Dr Farooq Abdullah, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Minister Javid Ahmad Dar, and other senior leaders.
Safina Baig, the wife of veteran politician and PDP co-founder Muzaffar Hussain Baig, arrived with a large number of supporters.
Her joining is being seen as an important gain for the National Conference. Political observers believe it will strengthen the party’s presence and support base across North Kashmir ahead of future political developments.
