Search Operations Continue in Difficult Terrain

The operation is focused on the densely forested hills of Dorimal. The area is known for its steep slopes, rocky mountains, and thick vegetation, making the mission challenging for security personnel.

Despite these difficulties, troops remain on high alert. Security forces are carrying out extensive searches, increasing surveillance, and conducting area domination exercises to monitor any suspicious activity.

Officials said the prolonged operation reflects the commitment of security agencies to maintain peace and security in the border district.

Army Jawan Lost Life During Operation

Earlier, on June 7, an Indian Army soldier lost his life during Operation Sheruwali after accidentally slipping from a rock.

According to sources, the jawan was moving through the rugged mountainous terrain while taking part in the anti-terror operation when he lost his footing and fell from a rocky slope.

He suffered serious injuries and was immediately evacuated for treatment. However, he later succumbed to his injuries.

Heavy Firing Reported on May 28

On May 28, heavy firing and shelling were reported in the Dorimal forest area as Operation Sheruwali entered a critical phase.

Security forces tightened the cordon around the suspected militant hideout and deployed additional reinforcements to strengthen the operation.

Officials said a large number of troops, along with logistical support, were rushed to the area to create a strong security ring and prevent militants from escaping through the dense forest cover.
