An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that 24 properties belonging to drug peddlers have been confiscated and demolished. These were identified as “proceeds of crime”. The official added that assets worth crores of rupees have also been seized during the drive.

As part of the campaign, more than 300 driving licences have been recommended for cancellation.

The 100-day milestone of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan is being marked across Kashmir with awareness programmes and padayatras. These activities aim to educate people, especially young individuals, about the dangers of drug use.

On Sunday, thousands of people, including government employees and students, joined an anti-drug march led by the Lieutenant Governor.

Speaking after the padyatra, Manoj Sinha described the campaign as a “people’s movement”. He called for joint efforts to build a Jammu and Kashmir where no child falls into drug addiction and no family suffers because of it.

Earlier this week, while reviewing progress, the Lieutenant Governor instructed district authorities to follow a focused, time-bound, and result-driven plan for the remaining 78 days of the campaign.

He also stressed the need for stronger involvement at the grassroots level, including participation from Panchayats, religious leaders, teachers, traders, youth groups, and social activists to turn the campaign into a long-term public movement.

Officials added that strict and visible action will continue against those involved in drug trafficking.
