The Delhi High Court on Tuesday allowed jailed Member of Parliament Engineer Rashid to visit his seriously ill father at AIIMS.
According to official sources speaking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the court took note of the critical condition of Rashid’s father and granted permission on humanitarian grounds. Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The court ordered that the visit must take place under strict police escort. Authorities have been directed to ensure full security during his travel and time at the hospital.
It was also clearly stated that the visit would be limited in time and closely monitored.
Engineer Rashid had earlier filed a request seeking temporary relief so he could meet his father, who is currently receiving treatment at AIIMS.
The court has scheduled the next hearing after officials submit a report confirming that all directions were properly followed.
