A tragic road accident claimed the life of a young man and left another injured after a car overturned in the Mattan area of Anantnag district on Thursday evening.
Car Overturns on KP Road
According to reports, a Polo car (registration number DL3CCN8591) was travelling from Pahalgam towards Anantnag when the driver allegedly lost control near Bumzoo on the KP Road. Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The vehicle overturned, causing serious injuries to both occupants.
Victims Shifted to Hospital
The injured were immediately taken to Sub-District Hospital Seer Hamdhan for treatment.
One of the victims, Umer Bashir Bhat, son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat, later died from his injuries.
The second injured person, Yawer Manzoor Lone, is currently undergoing treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.
Police Begin Investigation
Police have taken note of the incident and started an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
