J&K Bank Approves 1400 Jobs in Major Recruitment Drive, Posts Reserved for J&K and Ladakh Domiciles

In a major opportunity for job seekers across the region, Jammu and Kashmir Bank has approved around 1,400 vacancies in one of its biggest recruitment drives in recent years.

J&K Bank Managing Director and CEO Amitava Chatterjee said the recruitment process would remain focused on providing employment opportunities to local youth.

Jobs reserved for J&K domiciles

Chatterjee confirmed that the upcoming recruitment will be exclusively open to candidates holding Jammu and Kashmir domicile certificates.

Of the approximately 1,400 vacancies, around 40 posts will be specifically allocated to residents of the Union Territory of Ladakh.

The move is expected to provide fresh employment opportunities to young people in both Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

Detailed notification awaited

The bank has not yet released the detailed vacancy-wise breakdown. It is also yet to confirm how many positions will be offered for roles such as Probationary Officers (POs) and Banking Associates.

However, the J&K Bank chief said the official recruitment notification would be released shortly.

Once issued, the notification is expected to provide details about the number of vacancies, eligibility criteria, syllabus, selection process, application dates and other requirements.

Job aspirants are advised to regularly check the official J&K Bank website and recruitment portal for the notification and application schedule.

Major opportunity for local youth

The recruitment drive is expected to attract a large number of educated young people from across Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.

Speaking about the recruitment, Chatterjee also acknowledged the strong connection between J&K Bank and the people of the region, saying the institution understands their expectations and concerns.

With around 1,400 vacancies on the way, the recruitment exercise could become one of the biggest employment opportunities offered by the bank in recent years, particularly for local domicile candidates.
