Man Injured in Bear Attack in Tral Area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama

A man was injured after being mauled by a bear in the Gulshanpora area of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.

Residents Raise Wildlife Concerns

Local residents said wild animals had been spotted in the area on earlier occasions. They claimed that the Wildlife Department had already been informed about the movement of wild animals in the locality.

The latest bear attack has raised concerns among residents about the safety of people, particularly those living close to forested areas.

Residents also expressed concern for livestock, which could be vulnerable to attacks by wild animals.

They urged the authorities, particularly the Wildlife Department, to take immediate preventive measures and ensure the safety of residents by addressing the presence of bears and other wild animals in the area.
