SKUAST-Kashmir Celebrates 80th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour
Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-Kashmir) celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm.

The celebrations reflected the spirit of patriotism, unity and national pride, as members of the university community came together to honour the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and mark India’s journey since Independence.
Vice Chancellor Highlights Role of Education and Research
Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor Prof. Nazir Ganai highlighted the importance of education, research, innovation and extension services in building a strong, self-reliant and prosperous India.
He reaffirmed SKUAST-Kashmir’s commitment to supporting farmers and contributing to the national vision of Viksit Bharat.
The Vice Chancellor stressed the importance of knowledge and innovation in strengthening the agricultural sector and improving the livelihoods of farming communities.

Students Add Vibrancy to Celebrations
Students actively participated in the Independence Day celebrations, adding enthusiasm and vibrancy to the event.
Their participation reflected a strong sense of national pride and highlighted the role of young people in shaping India’s future.
The celebrations concluded with a renewed commitment by the university fraternity to contribute towards the nation’s development while continuing to serve farmers, promote agricultural research and support innovation in Jammu and Kashmir.
