A Spokesperson said that Acting on credible intelligence regarding online glorification of terrorism and radicalization of youth, CIK teams conducted searches at 10 specific locations across Srinagar, Kulgam, Baramulla, Shopian, and Pulwama. The operation, carried out with support from local police, focused on individuals allegedly misusing social media platforms to incite violence, spread anti-national propaganda, and promote communal hatred.
During the raids, nine suspects, including one female, were detained. A significant cache of incriminating material—including SIM cards, mobile phones, tablets, and other digital devices—was seized for forensic examination. The recovered evidence is expected to provide vital leads for further investigation.
Officials said the operation reflects CIK’s firm commitment to safeguarding public order and ensuring regional security by tackling digital threats at their roots. More raids and detentions are expected in the coming days as authorities remain determined to protect Kashmir’s youth from the influence of Pakistan-backed handlers, violent extremism, and online radicalization.
