Major Multi-State Operation
The operation was carried out jointly by Jammu and Kashmir Police along with central agencies. Another foreign terrorist, Usman alias Khubaib, was also arrested during the crackdown.
Security forces conducted searches at 19 locations across multiple states, including Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, and Haryana. During these raids, investigators recovered important materials linked to terror activities.
🔍 Deep Network Exposed
According to officials, the investigation revealed a well-organised network of Lashkar-e-Taiba operatives involved in providing logistical and financial support to terrorists.
Three residents of Srinagar — Mohammad Naqeeb Bhat, Adil Rashid Bhat, and Ghulam Mohammad Mir alias Mama — were among those arrested. They are accused of helping terrorists by providing shelter, food, and other assistance.
🌐 Use of Fake Identity and Documents
Investigators found that one foreign terrorist was able to travel outside the country using forged documents and fake identity papers, with help from the network operating in different states.
This highlights the extent and reach of the module, which was active not only in Jammu and Kashmir but also beyond.
⏳ Long History of Terror Activity
Officials said the terrorists had infiltrated into India around 16 years ago and remained active in different parts of the Kashmir Valley.
Over time, they reportedly handled and led around 40 foreign terrorists. Most of these militants were later eliminated by security forces in various operations.
⚠️ Security Forces Tighten Grip
This operation is being seen as a major success for security agencies in dismantling terror networks and preventing future attacks.
Authorities believe that exposing such long-running modules will help strengthen security and reduce terrorist activity in the region.
