The Central University of Kashmir Department of Management Studies (DMS) organised an online extension lecture on the theme “AI in HR” for students of MBA 2nd Semester, MBA 4th Semester, and BBA (Hons) 4th Semester. Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The lecture was delivered by university alumnus Kamraan Khan, a Human Resource professional with more than 13 years of experience across leading organisations in India and the United Arab Emirates.
Speaking on the occasion, Head of the Department Dr. Mushtaq Lone highlighted the importance of industry-oriented academic initiatives in enhancing students’ practical knowledge and professional exposure. He said the department would continue organising alumni lecture series to strengthen alumni-academia engagement and benefit students.
Kamraan Khan has worked with several reputed companies including Amazon, Noon, Landmark Group, ACKO, Life Healthcare, and Coal India, where he contributed to workforce planning, talent management, and HR transformation projects.
Currently based in Dubai, he is developing an AI-native Human Resource Management System through his venture “ZaitoonHR” aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises.
During the session, Khan discussed the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in Human Resource Management and explained how AI is transforming recruitment, employee engagement, workforce analytics, and organisational decision-making.
He also highlighted the opportunities and challenges involved in integrating AI into HR systems and practices. Students were provided practical insights into modern HR trends and industry expectations in an increasingly AI-driven environment.
