Sajad Lone Slams J&K Government for Taking Over 215 Jamaat e Islami Schools, Calls Move Political Overreach

Peoples Conference President and MLA Handwara Sajad Lone on Friday delivered a scathing critique of the Jammu and Kashmir Government following its takeover of 215 schools run by Jamaat e Islami Falah-e-Aam Trust (FAT), calling the move a blatant display of political overreach and servility.

“215 schools forcibly taken over by the J&K Government. And no prizes for guessing. The elected government has passed the order,” Lone said. “Shame and shamelessness have assumed new meanings in this government. They are setting new standards in servility.”

He further recalled NC’s past rhetoric, saying, “And just to recall the sermons, the edicts that this party passed against their opponents… Be under no illusions. This elected government is a party to all acts undertaken. Be it mailings or termination of employees, they are equal partners. They have been equal partners in the past. And they will be equal partners in the future.”

Lone concluded with a pointed critique of the ruling party, stating bluntly, “This is the A team. This was always the A team.”
