Death Anniversary of Hazrat Fatima (RA) Observed with Devotion in Srinagar

On the third day of Ramzan, the death anniversary of Fatimah bint Muhammad, the beloved daughter of Muhammad, was observed with deep respect and devotion.

Following tradition, a Majlis Waaz-o-Tableeg was held at Naqshband Sahib. On the occasion, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq delivered a sermon to remember her life and honour her lasting legacy.

Speaking to the gathering, Mirwaiz said that Hazrat Fatima (RA) remains a lasting example of dignity, faith and strong moral character. He explained her important role as a daughter, wife and mother, and said that strong families and a healthy society begin at home. At a time when moral values are weakening and material interests are becoming more important than spiritual ones, he said her life gives important guidance to the community.

He said that as a daughter, she was deeply devoted to her father. She supported him during difficult times and gave him comfort and strength. As a wife, she created peace, patience and mutual respect in her home, showing that strong families are built on kindness, sacrifice and shared responsibility.

As a mother, she raised her children with faith, strong character and courage. They later became guiding figures for the Muslim community. He stressed that raising children is not just a responsibility but a sacred trust, and that mothers play a key role in shaping the moral and spiritual future of society.

Mirwaiz urged people to bring back the values of faith, simplicity and good character in their homes. He encouraged the community to follow the example of Hazrat Fatima (RA) to strengthen families and protect the moral fabric of society.
