Earthquake of Magnitude 3.5 Jolts Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir, No Damage Reported

A low-intensity earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale jolted Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday afternoon, the National Center for Seismology (NCS) said.

The tremor, recorded at 1:41 pm, had its epicenter in Kupwara with coordinates 34.68 N latitude and 74.39 E longitude, at a shallow depth of 5 kilometers.Officials confirmed that no damage to property or loss of life was reported in the aftermath of the quake.
