Among the worst affected villages are Sallar, Kullar, Lever, Wullarhama, Kathsoo, and Budroo, where residents said the ongoing electricity crisis has badly affected household activities, businesses, and students’ studies.
Local residents expressed frustration, saying that even after repeatedly informing the concerned authorities, no effective steps have been taken to restore the regular electricity supply.
They also pointed out that electricity is being supplied from the Gopalpora Mattan Grid Station to other areas, while dozens of villages in the Sallar area are being forced to remain in darkness.
Residents further said that smart meters have already been installed in these villages, yet the electricity supply remains highly irregular.
The people of the area have urged the authorities and the Power Development Department to immediately look into the matter and restore proper electricity supply, so that residents do not continue to suffer from this persistent problem.
