BGSBU College of Nursing Rajouri Celebrates Har Ghar Tiranga and 150 Years of Vande Mataram
Rajouri: The College of Nursing, Rajouri, at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), organised a patriotic programme on Monday to celebrate the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and mark the 150th anniversary of India’s National Song, ‘Vande Mataram’. Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The programme brought together students, faculty members and staff, who participated enthusiastically in various activities promoting national pride, unity and patriotism.
Vice Chancellor Highlights Students’ Role in Nation Building
In his message, Prof. Jawaid Iqbal, Vice Chancellor of BGSBU, appreciated the College of Nursing for organising the programme.
He said that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’ serve as reminders of India’s shared heritage and national spirit.
“As future healthcare professionals, our students must serve the nation with dedication and compassion to build a stronger and self-reliant India,” he said.
The programme was organised under the guidance and leadership of Ravi Kumar Sihag (IAS), Registrar, BGSBU.
Tiranga Rally Held in Rajouri
The celebrations began with a Tiranga Rally from the college premises.
Students, faculty and staff marched while carrying the National Flag and raising patriotic slogans. The rally reflected the enthusiasm of the participants and highlighted the message of national unity.
A mass singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ was later organised on the college campus, creating a solemn and patriotic atmosphere as the institution commemorated the song’s 150th anniversary.
Students Take Part in Selfie With Tiranga Campaign
Students and staff also participated in the ‘Selfie with Tiranga’ campaign.
Photographs taken by participants with the National Flag were uploaded to the official Har Ghar Tiranga portal as part of the nationwide campaign.
Speech and Patriotic Song Competitions
The programme also featured speech and patriotic song competitions, giving students an opportunity to demonstrate their talent, creativity and patriotic spirit.
The competitions witnessed active participation from students, while the overall programme was anchored by a student of the College of Nursing.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Titi Xavier, Dean, School of Nursing and Biomedical Sciences, spoke about the importance of patriotism and the role of young people in nation building.
She encouraged students to contribute positively to society and uphold the values of service and responsibility.
Programme Concludes With National Anthem
The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
The celebration reaffirmed BGSBU College of Nursing’s commitment to nurturing patriotic values among students while encouraging young people to contribute to the nation’s development through dedication, service and responsibility.
