Baramulla Police Arrest Drug Peddler Akif Ahmad Dar in Pattan, Recover Charas During Naka Checking

In a continued drive against drug trafficking, Police in Baramulla have arrested a drug peddler during naka checking at Trikolbal near the New Bypass in the Pattan area.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

A Spokesperson said that police party of Police Station Pattan, at a checkpoint established at Trikolbal arrested a drug peddler identified as Akif Ahmad Dar son of Ashiq Ahmad Dar resident of Trikolbal Jawanipora, Pattan. During search, charas-like substance weighing approximately 13.5 grams and charas powder–like substance weighing approximately 23 grams were recovered from his possession.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 237/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pattan, and investigation has been initiated.

J&K Police reiterates its firm commitment to eradicate the menace of drug abuse and trafficking and urges the public to cooperate by sharing any information related to drug-related activities in their areas.
