No Decision on Summer Vacations for Kashmir Schools: Director of School Education
On Wednesday, Tasaduk Hussain Itoo, the Director of School Education for Kashmir, announced that no decision has been made regarding summer vacations for schools in the Kashmir Valley.
Citing the current pleasant weather as a key factor, Itoo indicated that there are no plans to alter school timings either.
During a visit to a private school in Nagbal, in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, Itoo spoke to the media, stating that the administration will only consider summer vacations if there is an extraordinary heat surge. “We have not decided yet about the summer vacation in Kashmir because the weather is pleasant,” he remarked.
Itoo also emphasized the importance of continuing education at this time. “There is a need to teach children now, and when the time comes, it will be decided whether to take a summer vacation,” he explained.
He reassured that school timings would remain unchanged, as the current weather conditions are favorable and not excessively hot.
This announcement has come as a relief to many parents and educators who were concerned about potential disruptions to the academic schedule.
