A 26-year-old tourist died on Saturday after reportedly suffering a suspected heart attack while travelling towards Pahalgam in south Kashmir’s Anantnag, officials said.
An official told Kashmir News Corner (KNC) that a private tourist vehicle, bearing a registration number from outside the Union Territory, was on its way from Srinagar to Pahalgam when it stopped at Badrian area of Aishmuqam after one of the passengers suddenly fell unconscious. The tourist was identified as Sahil, son of Jai Bhagwan, a resident of Lakhan Majra in Rohtak, Haryana. He was immediately rushed to Seer Hamdan Hospital Mattan, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Officials said the death is suspected to have been caused by a heart attack. Meanwhile, medico-legal formalities are being completed to confirm the exact cause of death.
