Instead of taking her home, the van was driven towards Gurgaon Road. According to the police, the woman remained inside the van for nearly two-and-a-half hours. During this time, the two accused repeatedly raped her. When she resisted and begged them to stop, they threatened her.
At around 3 am, the accused pushed the woman out of the moving van near Raja Chowk. She suffered serious injuries to her face and was bleeding heavily.
Despite her condition, the woman managed to call her sister several times. When her sister returned the call, she learned about the assault. Family members immediately rushed to the spot and took the woman to hospital, where she was admitted in a critical condition.
Doctors treated her injuries and put 10 to 12 stitches on her face. Although her condition is now stable, she remains in deep shock. Police said her detailed statement has not yet been recorded.
In her complaint, the victim’s sister said that the woman had called her the evening before the incident at around 8.30 pm. She told her sister that she had an argument with their mother and was going to a friend’s house. She also said she would return home within three hours.
Police said the woman is married, has three children, and lives separately from her husband due to a domestic dispute.
Both accused have been arrested, and the van used in the crime has been recovered. Police said further investigation is ongoing.
