Two people, including an elderly woman, were found dead under mysterious circumstances in separate incidents in the Jammu region on Sunday, officials said.
According to official sources, a 46-year-old woman, identified as Anju Devi, wife of Yashpal, was found unconscious at her home in the Akhnoor area. She was immediately taken to the Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors declared her brought dead.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
In a separate incident, an unidentified man, believed to be around 45 years old, was found unconscious in Lane 4 of the Belicharana locality in Jammu. He was also rushed to GMC Jammu, but doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
Officials said the bodies of both individuals have been sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
Police have started inquest proceedings and registered separate cases under relevant legal provisions in connection with both deaths. “A detailed investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding these incidents,” a police official said.
