In a post on X, Srinagar Airport authorities said that one IndiGo flight, three Air India flights, and one Air India Express flight were cancelled due to weather-related reasons. In addition, one SpiceJet flight was cancelled because of operational issues.

“Please note that the flights stand cancelled as of now due to operational and weather-related reasons for today. Passengers are advised to kindly reconfirm their flight status with the concerned airline before travelling to the airport,” the airport authorities said. They added that further updates would be shared when available and apologised for the inconvenience.

In a separate post, Srinagar Airport authorities said that Air India Express flight IX 1271/1272 on the Jammu–Srinagar–Delhi route was also cancelled. The flight, scheduled to arrive at 1:45 pm and depart at 2:20 pm, was cancelled due to expected bad weather conditions in Jammu.

Meanwhile, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) issued an advisory for passengers across northern India. The authority said that low visibility caused by dense fog was affecting flight operations at several airports.

AAI advised passengers to check their flight status directly with airlines and reach airports earlier than usual. It added that airport teams are present on the ground to help passengers and ensure safe and smooth operations.

Earlier on Tuesday morning, Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi also faced major disruptions due to dense fog. Around 60 arriving flights and 58 departing flights were cancelled, while 16 flights heading to Delhi were diverted to other cities.

Passengers have been urged to stay updated and remain in contact with airlines as foggy conditions continue to affect air travel across the region.
