Senior officers of Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday visited Muqam-e-Shahwali, Drugmulla, where they met the family of late Inspector Shah Asrar-ul-Haq, who lost his life in the accidental explosion at Nowgam Police Station on Friday night.
ADGP CID Nitish Kumar and SSP CIK Tahir Ashraf Bhati reached the residence to offer their condolences and express their support to the grieving family. The officers interacted with the relatives, prayed for the departed officer, and assured them that the police department would extend every necessary assistance during this difficult time.

They recalled Inspector Asrar as an able and sincere officer whose professionalism and humane approach were widely appreciated within the force. Both officers underscored that the department stands united with all families affected by the Nowgam incident and reiterated that comprehensive support measures are being ensured.
Inspector Shah Asrar-ul-Haq was among nine individuals who died in the intense blast that occurred while seized explosives were being examined at police station Nowgam. Several personnel were also injured.
