Ahead of the upcoming Republic Day celebrations, the Srinagar Police has stepped up security arrangements across the city to ensure a peaceful, safe, and incident-free event.
A police spokesperson said that as part of the enhanced security plan, police personnel have been deployed at key and sensitive locations. Special checkpoints and mobile patrol teams have been set up, where vehicles and individuals are being thoroughly checked.
The spokesperson added that night patrols and surprise inspections are also being carried out to maintain high alert levels and prevent any attempt to disturb public order. Senior police officers are personally supervising the security arrangements to make sure the plan is implemented smoothly and effectively on the ground.
The police have appealed to the public to fully cooperate during checking and verification drives. Citizens have also been advised to immediately report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or the Police Control Room.
Srinagar Police reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the lives and property of residents and ensuring that Republic Day is celebrated in an atmosphere of peace, unity, and patriotism.
